Horse Soldier Bourbon Dinner

September 16 & 17, 2024

Join us for a Join us as we welcome Bob Pennington & Mark Nutsch, authors of Swords of Lightning & American heroes portrayed in 12 Strong, as they talk about their award winning bourbon, Horse Soldier, and their time serving overseas.  The American Freedom Distillery was founded by a group of former Special Forces soldiers who wanted to create a high quality bourbon that paid tribute to their military service. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Horse Soldier Bourbon goes to support veteran charities and organizations.

Horse Soldier Bourbon is made from a blend of corn, barley, and rye grains and aged in new American oak barrels. It is known for its smooth and rich flavor profile, with notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak. The bourbon has a high alcohol content, typically around 95 proof. Horse Soldier Bourbon is highly regarded for its craftsmanship, unique backstory, and commitment to honoring the sacrifices of American’s military service members.

Chef Alex McPhail will be preparing a 5 course menu, paired with Horse Soldier Bourbon to enhance the flavors of the meal. Chef’s dinner will be a memorable and delicious experience that celebrates the spirit of camaraderie, sacrifice, and craftsmanship embodied by the U.S. Special Forces soldiers and the bourbon itself.

We do expect this event to sell out quickly and are pleased to offer two nights of what is sure to be an unforgettable event.
